The Paths that Bring People Together

Some paths are built to get you somewhere quickly.

Others are designed to slow you down.

The paths throughout Lancaster Camp Ground fall into the second category. They curve instead of cutting straight lines. They invite wandering instead of rushing. And over time, they’ve quietly guided thousands of people toward shared moments.

These paths have carried families to reunions, campers to conversations, and visitors toward spaces filled with laughter and reflection. They’ve absorbed the footsteps of generations who may not remember every detail—but remember how the place made them feel.

The design of the Grounds was intentional. It encourages movement, but also connection. You don’t just pass through; you encounter people along the way.

Sometimes the most meaningful part of a gathering happens between destinations. And these paths have always understood that.
